Review

How many times does that AVI you have just created or downloaded happen to be out of sync? And how many times have you tried to fix it to no or very little success? Audio Video Synchronizer tries to make this tedious task a little bit lighter for you. This tool allows you to set an unlimited number of synchronization points, edit them, preview any part of the movie at any time, and save your video file in either WMV or AVI.

This easy-to-learn program is prepared to fix both the simplest synchronization problems (when the time difference between audio and video remains unchanged throughout the whole file), and the most complicated ones, when the lapse of time changes at various points all along the movie. Fixing these variable time differences is always a hard and time-consuming chore that needs to be done manually. With Audio Video Synchronizer, you are given the opportunity of going through these complex synchronizing processes only once. You are allowed to tell the program all the different timeline changes you have found while reviewing the movie – once you have found all the necessary sync points, this tool will automatically calculate the different start and end times of both the audio and the video, according to the synchronization points provided. Besides (and this does not happen that often in similar software tools), you can always preview the resulting synchronized movie (or a section of it) without needing to convert the whole file. Thus, the program will re-encode the movie just once, only when the movie looks and sounds right to you.

Audio Video Synchronizer works perfectly with AVI, WMV, MPG, MPEG, ASF, DAT, and VCD video formats, and can save the output file in either AVI or WMV, but the program will also recognize any other codecs you may have installed in your system (DivX, XviD, MKV, OGM, and so on).
Advantages
  • Easy to set up and learn.
  • A well-structured clear interface helps to understand the logic of the process.
  • Open to a large number of widely-used video codecs.
Disadvantages
  • None.
